Aaron Holloway-Nahum

Biography

Aaron Holloway-Nahum (born in Chicago, 1983) lives and works in London.  His music has been performed by ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, London Symphony Orchestra and Aspen Contemporary Ensemble.  He has been in residence at Aaron Copland House, been commissioned by the Britten Pears Foundation and RVW Trust, supported by the Polonsky Foundation and Leverhulme Trusts, and has had prize-winning compositions performed at the Aldeburgh, Aspen, Cheltenham, Dartington, Etchings and highSCORE festivals.  Aaron is an active teacher and passionate advocate of contemporary music, having conducted more than two-dozen world premeires, fundraising and producing concerts as Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of The Riot Ensemble (http://riotensemble.com/) and writing in journals such as Tempo and the blog I Care If you Listen.
